| Customer Reviews: BIG TIME FAMILY FUN January 14, 2010 Marty McFly (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Fat Cat Pockey table has been tons of fun for my family. But let me give you some words of warning...have at least 2 very strong adults present at delivery. THe truck comes without a lift gate (unless you pay extra for that), which means you have to lift the barge box (weighing almost 300 lbs) off the truck. Make sure your help can stay and help put it together. There is a point where you have to lift the top and place into the legs, there were two of us and we almost dropped it. Other than that, we've had a great time and its super solid.
Good product. Delivery problems. January 16, 2009 Richard L. Ford (Palo Alto, CA USA) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
The table is great. Perfect for kids game room. The first table was delivered damaged and it took a couple weeks to get the replacement table.
The replacement table has arrived and is all it was advertised to be. Almost full size it's great to play on.
Phat Cat Pockey as advertised. February 3, 2010 Jeremy Brandt As advertised. Works well. Emits a strong industrial odor but improving after 10 weeks.
Fun Game Table January 9, 2010 Jeff Owen (Suwanee, GA) Overall, the table is a lot of fun and is a good size for a basement room.
Pros: Easy to change from pool to air hockey. Very large air hockey playing surface. Easy to level pool table. Received the table with a defective table lock and it was replaced quicky.
Cons: Ping pong table top a good deal smaller than a standard table. Pool table surface not entirely flat (balls can turn when close to a rail), but majority of table is perfectly flat. If you are use to a regulation pool table you will notice a difference with this one, but remember this one does cost a lot less. One spot on air hockey table does not get much air flow and slow pucks tend to stop on it.
Poor Design, Low Quality February 5, 2010 G. Schuhmacher (Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was not difficult to assemble, but I am not happy with a few things:
The Ping Pong Table is not even close to normal size, and doesn't even cover the top of the pool table! It is also a tri-fold table, creating 2 seams right on the playing surface.
The Pool table is not felt, it is some type of cheap synthetic material.
My biggest problem is the design of the supports for the table when it is in either pool table or air hockey mode. Though it is very easy to switch back and forth, the plastic levers that are used to support the table and lock it into place are quite flimsy. There are 2 on each end of the table, which is sufficient. The problem is that there are only two screws for each of these lever pieces. Within 2 weeks all 4 of the lever devices had been ripped from the slots where they must sit to hold the table in place. I had to get hardware from Ace and put 8 brackets over the top and bottom of these lever pieces with 16 screws and nuts to keep this problem from re-occurring. No telling if this solution will work long term. This is a design flaw that should be easily detected if the manufacturer actually tested their product, and fixed with a simple change in the lever system to a metal piece with more than 2 screws.
